The day started out in our usual ‘unusual’ style. Early this morning, Colin was off to do his aerial photography here in Edmonton but had to do it in a helicopter because it seemed that no one in this entire city was insured/licensed to carry a photographer. The first glitch of the day…the pilot demanded his $1000.00 fee in cash. So off we rushed to an ATM…I mean who carries that kind of cash around. We were on a time line here and we got stopped not by one but two very very long freight trains….yes my son we must learn the lesson of patience. Got to the ATM and found out it had a 400.00 limit. Even with pooling our cash we were short, so a rush back to the RV to get our cheque book, just in case 1/3 payment by by chq was acceptable. At this point Colin is frantic as he has less than 25 minutes till lift off. He made it, paid the pilot and rushed home to resume ‘operation smelly”. In the midst of this we were approached by a fellow rver who had just pulled in…I later said to Colin…don’t we know this guy…we do…he is a neighbor in Holiday Park Resort! Suddenly we are late and rushing out to see my friend Libby, Skip and her service dog Zulin. Finally we arrived at the parents for dinner and a final visit. The entire day seems to have passed in a blur. Happy Father’s Day to all.
