Just a comment on getting Mexican pesos from Canadian banks.
Last year we ordered pesos from the TD bank before leaving and took them to Mexico. Later in the winter we used our debit card to take pesos out in Mexico. Since we have on-line banking I was able to see what we got using the ATM and compare it with what we would have paid buying pesos from the TD bank on that day if we had gone into the bank in Canada
Guess what, using an ATM was much better than buying the pesos in Canada!! The conversion done by the ATM in Mexico was close to the interbank rate, even with the 21 peso charge in Mexico and the $3.00 charge via Interac using the ATM was a much better deal.
You should have a look!
