Setting up——Day 3 1/2 completed!
We are creating a home for five months so all has to be done just so!! There is actually a great deal to do. For instance the ants found us before we had a chance to build our defense….thank goodness they are only the tiny sugar ants but still….why not the neighbors? It takes hours and maybe even days to figure the best place for the patio chairs. You need to take into account the morning light, high noon heat and sunset…..all of this takes a great deal of study, best done with a favorite cerveza in hand and cold glass of white wine. One needs to sit, to sip and to look out towards the beach & ocean. Yes, another sip is required! Actually another and another, yes the sunset does look pretty magnificent from here. I think we should wait and check it out over coffee in the morning and if that doesn’t work out well we’ll start all over again about 4:30PM manana! Si, comprende?
The one different thing we do, is fence in the dogs which gives us freedom from watching them all the time and we are all free to come & go from the RV at will. That reminds me, gotta get my Hawaiian beaded door curtain out. Now where did we pack it?
Another big task is to clock the cruise ship coming in and again check it out of port at the end of the day. A tough job but someone has to do it!!! The job I really dislike is asking almost everyday why we have no internet? Sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!! I almost forget about counting all the horses & ponies going home every night along the beach. So much to so and so little time!
We are have ‘chores’ to do from raking the rocks, to setting up the TV (Shaw aka Star Choice) dish, to plant seeds for basil, etc.
I almost forgot, all the grocery shopping….actually delivered to your door.
And so on and so on…getting here is a breeze compared to all the work you have do do when you actually get here!!! Even the girls are totally exhausted as you can see.
