Super Perigee Moon
Yesterday was super moon day. Along with that came super high tide and super low tide. Here on the Isla it was a free for all. Lots of tidal pools and big waves.
This guy just couldn't get out to the surf fast enough...
Nor could these two…
They started with the tidal pools..
Got very wet and then decided it was crab hunting time. The crabs were big and easy to dig up with all the water soaked sand.

DIRTY!!!
So after catching some crabs they decided to go swimming, still in the tidal pools.
This is not normal behavior!!
We had no idea that Caeli could swim!
She doesn't even like to get her paws wet when walking along the shore!
It seemed like everyone wanted to enjoy the tidal pools.
These kids found a better use for their surf boards....
After a full afternoon with new friends, more about that tomorrow, we were treated to another phenomenon of nature, a very rare perigee moon. Something that only happens once in twenty years, I don’t remember it 20 years ago and who knows where we’ll be in another 20 years so Saturday night was the night. What is special about this moon is that it is suppose to be about 31,000 miles closer to the Earth thus making it appear bigger and brighter. So as the sunset we were able to watch the moonrise over Tres Amigos RV2.
The color of the sun reflected off the clouds make for a very spectacular full moon!
