Only 6 more sleeps!!
Then we head north. What will we miss…everything! It has just started to get to normal temperatures and the warm ocean breeze feels wonderful. Last night we slept with all the windows open! One thing for certain is the fruit & veggies!
Our friend Liz was telling us the other day that most restaurants in Vancouver have stopped serving tomatoes. The price is outrageous! I’m sure that avocado will be right up there also.
We are going to miss all of our friends here and all the great restaurants along the beach here on the Isla. The girls are going to miss crabbing and all the extra attention they get here cuz once home we’ll be working!
Our water guy/dessert truck guy just delivered 350 songs on a number of CD’s for Colin. A variety of true Mexican music all for 150 pesos! We won’t get service like that at home. I know I will miss my weekly 90 minute massages by Mary.
We’ll miss the almost daily occurrence of vehicles attempting the beach.
As a matter of interest Colin’s moon shot was put online by the local news station in Kelowna.
Break time is over….back to more sorting and packing. I am down to my last 12 pots of plants, so very very sad!! Both the garden and the site are looking very empty.

I didn’t realize you got a picture of that! Why on earth did he think a front wheel drive truck would make it through the sand? Oh well, he had lots of help.
Enjoy the nice weather a bit now that its finally there, to bad you have to leave so soon. We are on the homeward bound trek too, only 28 days until back in a cooler climate.
Marty…trust me, this happens several times per week!
George..we are making a point of simply sitting and absorbing the heat and the beauty of our view in between the packing.
where did you buy the big organic tomato? I ‘ve been wondering if any organic produce was available.
Mary, the fellow comes around on a moto. Next time I see him I’ll send him your way.
Ruth, SNOW!!! We dug out our winter clothes from the RV basement yesterday just in case!
We’re missing Mexico too. I am looking out our window right now and I see snow, yuck! Kevin just took Whiskey out before bed and came back in saying that it is below freezing now, yuck! Yuck! Yuck!
I bought some vegetables the other day and they were so expensive. 6 onions, just regular ones in one of those netted bags cost us $3.98. I couldn’t believe it.
Enjoy it while you still can. Hope your drive goes well.

I love the pic of Colin with the reptilian-type creatures ! Are you bringing one home??? Enjoy the last few days. You both deserve it. Please stay safe whilst traveling.
