Getting old…..

…no not me but rather, the weather is getting old.  I have waited all day in the hopes of posting sunny skies and warm temps but alas!

...the view from my kitchen window!

...the view from the living room was no better!

Looking out towards the lake it was even worse, new snow on the 'hills' and shortly after this photo, we were treated to whitecaps on the lake!!

Even though the calander states it is Thursday, April 28th the girls seem to know better.  They sent us a memo requesting we head south pronto!

Snuggled as best they can with the fireplace running all day!

So what to do but make a crock pot of halibut chowder with a Thai curry base………

...served with the appropriate beverages of course! Dinner is served, hopefully Colin will get home soon or the beverages may be gone!!

Contessa, the soup looks delicious – wonder if I could make it with black seabass when we go to DE this summer. The girls look cozy and comfy as they snooze – so cute!

Connie, I am sure it would be delicious with seabass, I’ll send you the recipe.

Marty, let me know when you want to travel, I’ll go with you.

George, the beverages were great but the chowder was totally yummy even if I do say so myself.

Patti, very nasty snow, I wouldn’t have believed it, if you hadn’t sent photos.

We had another blizzard tonight! Man it’s getting old! I drove home from work on slushy roads-yuk! And people are getting really crabby. I am more than ready to head back to Mazatlan.

  3. Nothing like a big bowl of chowder and of course the right beverage to keep you warm with this disgusting weather.
