The box

What’s in the box?  We’ve waited over a week for this package.  It is so valuable that we paid extra insurance to UPS  just in case it got lost in transit.

First clue, it's not for me.

What, a box within a box?  But not just an ordinary box, no not for my guy.

...possibly the last one in Canada!

What, there are two of them? The new one in the box is exactly the same as the one out of the box.

The Nikon D700 is Colin’s favorite camera and he decided that maybe he needs two of them, will it make the job go quicker, can we charge double??  Anyway once he started looking for one he quickly discovered that the Japan earthquake & tsunami crisis have created a major shortage of items.  The factory that makes Nikon cameras will not be making this one for a very long time and quite possibly never again.  How many other ways in the weeks and months to come will we discover just how this catastrophic event affected our lives, even here in Canada?

  1. Trinidad Garcia says:

Contessa you are quite right that the Japan earthquake & tsunami crisis will continue to work it’s way into peoples lives all over the globe. At the moment I can’t recall an example for myself but, I remember thinking the exact same thing you were in this post not too long ago.

  2. Gotta have two, especially when they may become obsolete, lucky you found another, maybe insure with Lloyd’s of London?
