The water is rising…

When we got back from Mexico on April 8th we were happy to see that our beach on the lake site was even larger.

This is an older photo, I guess I didn't get a beach shot in April. Anyway, this past April the water was so low, it was out to the duck raft.

Then suddenly, almost overnight, in mid May, we noticed that not only was the beach underwater but also the first step.

Then by May 17th the second step was under water.....

This last shot show the third step becoming covered.

Right now we sit with the two rocks on the left being under water……it has been cool here, in fact we are still using electric heat in the mornings to take the chill off!  The forecast for the weekend calls for a return to normal highs of around 26C so we shall see if the water keeps rising.  They say we still have a huge snow pack that is largely unmelted.  Stay tuned.

Mary….I would be very happy to change places with you. The heat of the Isla is just what I need. Wish we could just switch places every now and then.

Susie…I think this weekend will see a great deal of snow melt

George…..apparently 25 years ago the lake did flood right up to our other site, the own away from the lake.

Marty….you get that hubby of yours busy building the boat and come pick us up!!

  3. Hope all your steps don’t go under water then you could be in trouble!!

We’re going to be in the same boat, I’m afraid. (Might have to think literally on that boat!) Lots of snowpack and warmer weather predicted.
