Home sweet home…

Home since yesterday afternoon and not a minute too soon.  All went well as far as I know.  Lots of pain and few meds.  How do people survive at home without a hospital bed?  Not easy at all.  I lucked out in hospital and had a semi private room but the other lady was strung out on her meds and hallucinating.  Taking care of her kept me sane.  However when she started thrashing around and I instinctively wanted to go to her aid, it was time to move her out…..how could I be responsible for another when I was not coping.  Most of you know that I am a nurse so when I say that the care I received was horrid you have to believe me.  First thing I did yesterday was sleep and sleep and sleep.

I am sort of meandering here…thanks for all your thoughts, emails and calls.  Over the next bit I will get back to you.  I’m suppose to feel better & stronger every day so bring it on…ASAP PLEASE.  My mantra is Mexico beach…..

Happy 24th anniversary mi amore!  Thank you for all the care you are giving me.  I feel so guilty for calling out to you every few minutes…so sorry but I really need you!  We’ll celebrate next year and have a super 25th party.  I had hoped to do a 24th anniversary post but it’s just not in me right now.

Hugs to you all…

So glad you’re home. Recovery is so much better at home than in any hospital. An the love of your life doesn’t mind if you call to him every few minutes. When I spent almost four months in a wheel chair my Jim treated me like a queen and took care of everything. Now I’ll spend the rest of my life making it up to him. Get better soon and thanks for posting to let us know how you’re doing.
