What a day!!!
Almost too exhausted to get this done! We got up early at 7AM Thursday morning and both went to the chiropractor for an adjustment. It was very foggy and cold, about 44C.
Meet Bentley, the 4 year old doxie, belongs to Dr G. and his lady! He is quite a character. What a great stretch! Now that is how a chiropractically adjusted dog behaves! Relaxed!!
Then based on last night we ( well I ) made a spontaneous decision….
It took a variety of strategies to stay online last night and was a huge waste of time...
So after our chiro appts we went in search of a wifi stick. We are only in the US for 8 more days or less and the cost is 50.00 per month BUT enough is enough. We got a 2 year contract and will suspend the service every 3 months we are away for 5.00/month. I need my freedom to do my thing!! So I might drag the 2 year contract out to 5 years, no worries. The stick cost 20.00USD!!! But it took an hour to get it sorted out as we needed a US address, finally came up with the idea of our WHR home park! Then it took 90 minutes of trying to get online and 40 minutes of roaming on our cell phone to get it up and running. GRRRRRRR....not my thing. Anyway we are now functional.
Finally about 2:15PM we were ready to leave Wal~Mart! We had been there over 24 hours, another new record for us. Most people are ending their travel day and we were just beginning, another first! We travelled 172 miles to another Walmart in Yakima, Wa. We haven’t been putting the slides out since we left Kelowna, trying to keep the heat in! Using the generator and furnace almost constantly. That means an easy set up.

Once we arrived about 5:30PM in Yakima it was time to start the wine tasting. Still have to keep up the Wal~Mart shopping. I am buying for 5 months!
We have way too many bottles open at once but we are sorting out our preferences.
We have about 6 RV’s here tonight but this one is the most unusual.
The sign in the back window reads "I need help getting to New Hampshire". Seems to be a single young woman travelling alone, she must be freezing in there.
Well time to jump into the shower and hit the bed. We aren’t level tonight so we might just slip out of bed:) Hopefully tomorrow will be our first usual normal travel day! I just better set the alarm…or not???

Nice to get your back tuned up and ready for the road, then finally get on the road. Now with your own internet you should be good to go, we could not do with out ours.

Connie….such a huge difference the Verizon stick has made….it was great being able to call Colin’s on Magic Jack for free and such clarity! Hope it doesn’t snow quite yet!

That wireless contract kind of sounds like our Verizon FIOS, tv, and phone contract we have at our summer place in DE. We pay full price the four months we are there. When we head home, we call and put it on vacation and don’t pay anything for the eight months we are back in PA. Like you, I can’t be without good technology! Love your pics! Envy you – they are calling for snow here in PA over the weekend – Walmart was crazy today with people buying snow shovels and ice melt for Halloween weekend!!!!! Happy traveling!
Our former pastor-the one that has kids in Kelowna-build a tiny homemade camp trailer very similar to those little teardrops. They love it but I need a little more room.
I think it’s a lucky doxie who lives with a chiropractor, unless it’s like the cobbler’s children. Cobbler’s children hardly ever get chiropractic adjustments.
My current favorite (stop me if you’ve heard this) is the Oak Leaf sweet red. My son has to stop listening when I tell him I drink WalMart wine.
We also go to great lengths for internet connection. We have wires and electronic gadgets for every sort of connectivity situation.
