Generator confusion

In the same 24 hour period we asked our generator to provide heat and then air conditioning.  Are we loco?  It was 98F in Lake Havasu yesterday.

We did get the RV tire checked for a second time at a Love’s Tire Centre.  The first fellow in Vegas said we needed a new valve core on an inner dual.  However another fellow near Lake Havasu City (LHC) said it was fine and his compressor was strong enough to fill the tire.  You can be sure we will be watching this tire for the next 48 hours – closely!

We did our final final purchases in LHC, got the eight 8lb bags of dog food and made a discovery.  Our dash A/C in the RV is not working, it blows air but not cool air.  Between LHC and Parker the temp inside was 90F and the girls ( me included ) were panting.  It was 4:30PM and we made a quick stop at Spanky’s RV for help.  He put us in touch with a place to get the A/C checked out…but not till Wednesday.  Meanwhile we turned on the generator, put on the roof air and drove that way.

No worries because we had planned to spend 2 nites here in the BLM lands @ Exit 112 just before Quartzsite. We arrived about 5:45 PM, just before sunset.

We only drove 209 miles but it seemed like a long day.  We do live in strange times, yesterday most of the stores I was in had the employees all  dressed up for Halloween but in one store they were playing Christmas music!!

Caeli spent most of the evening ( and half the night before coming to bed ) guarding what she considers to be her food. Carmeh was not allowed up on the dash and was growled at if she got too close.

Can you believe it? I was up and walking in the desert at 7:30AM! It was great and the girls are so happy.

The plan today is to do a bit of reorganizing in the RV and a whole lot of relaxing.  Nothing else to do but sit back and enjoy this wonderful life we have chosen to live.

You might say that we are Lucky Ducks!

George…we are sitting here wishing we could stay longer…one day when we are not able ( for some strange reason ) we will stay longer as we love it so but Mexico so very much.

Kevin…gracias mi amigo….yes Caeli was strong last night…now with the food in the belly of the RV she has no idea what happened.

Connie…..thank you Connie…I think I amazed not only myself but Colin and the girls with that walk…the promise of things to come. I have to say that I am a lucky duck, past and present.

Marty……we are enjoying the journey but more so from this day on…hang in there with your surgery….we will walk that beach in March…TOGETHER!!!

Elaine….what are you doing up so late…not sleeping again? We also hope that it is not too big a deal re the A/C repair. This fellow has 4 certificates so we are hoping for the best. The girls wore themselves out today, never napped at all, just enjoyed the desert.

  2. Love the sunset photo. Looks like Caeli is protecting Fort Knox.

Loved the dachsies pictures. Definitely a guard dog and the one with the ears flying is terrific. People laugh but they love to run.
