SURGERY DELAYED
There were two emergency heart transplants and one emergency lung transplant today at Mom’s hospital. All cardiac surgery was delayed and now in Mom’s case, surgery is rebooked for Dec. 28th.
However she is considered too weak to go home and will have to remain at the hospital. She is upset needless to say as are all of us in the family. I am hoping that if she is there in hospital and there is a cancellation of some sort she may still get her surgery sooner. I will get more details later or possibly just Wednesday morning.

It is so hard to be patient ( no pun intended ) while waiting for a call for surgery.
Please tell Mom we are praying and wishing her the very best.
It will sure be a different Christmas, but one you will not forget !!

Dear Contessa, thanks for keeping us updated. Everyone here is 100% behind you. Isn’t it wonderful that we cyber friends are with you and your mom all the way. I, too, thought by now it was all over and your mom was in recovery. Just checking in to read your latest update. Still keeping you in prayers! You are not alone in this. So sorry to hear about the delay in your mother’s surgery. I hope there will be a way that she can have the surgery sooner. We’re sending good thoughts her way.
