Sounds

Have you ever just sat still and listened?

You would hear the sound of the wind against the palm fronds...

You would hear the sound of the surf breaking on the shore...

You would hear the sounds that a hummingbird makes at the feeder. This is a male broad-billed hummer. Their bill is a bright orange red with a black tip. Their sound is sort of a 'chit-dit'!

You would be able to hear by sound alone that this hummingbird has a different call, a sharp 'chick'' plus the male makes a loud trill with his wings.

...and you will always hear the sound of music in our home.

Mom update

Just got the news that she is in a large & lovely 2 person room on the window side.  The  window overlooks the Healing Garden, an atrium area with green live plants.  I don’t know if she can see anything from her bed but I hope it will give her incentive to get up and look out her window.  The best news of all is that her heart surgeon will remain as her primary care Dr. and he is already pushing a few buttons.  Her greatest complaint is still nothing by mouth but the swallow test has not yet been done….patience!!!

If she’s complaining, she’s improving! So happy!

Whenever we’re in Maz we spend a lot of time watching the hummingbirds.

Marty…..we have one other variety but it never is on one place long enough to get a shot.

Elaine….its a tough call to sit and read or to just listen.

Longdog…she is better but we need to deal with the feeding tube and swallow issue soon.

Connie…she is better heart wise but its the other, we should know soon.

George….I forgot about your hearing but at least you can hear something….so much better off than others. Colin took the hummer photos.
