A day in Mazatlan

Last Friday we went into town to take care of a few errands, have an early dinner and attend Artwalk.

All trips start with the panga ride across the channel. This guy was a pro at balancing his bike.

Then there is the pulmonia ride into Centro. Overall, I think we saw about 17 people from the Isla enjoying a lovely Friday in town.

Should I get the long one or the short one? The red or the pink?

We purchased tickets to two symphony concerts, had a lovely meal in the Plazuela and then decided to check out Artwalk. I really like the atmosphere in this gallery, especially the small water pond right in the midst of it all and the live trees.

Artwalk is a first Friday of every month event in Centro Historico. Maps are available to about 24 galleries and artists studios, often in their own homes. The homes are as interesting as the art itself. I purchased earrings at this gallery.

Part of the fun is wondering up and down a variety of streets. Great street art!

This was in a private home. The artist as many do, had appies and wine available.

Our friends Nancy & Paul were working at the Luna Gallery, you have to check out the ceiling.

I enjoyed the art but I loved the architect of the city even more.

Obviously I wasn't carrying the camera 🙂

This was taken from the artist's studio at the top of her home. What a lovely garden. In the end we made it to eight locations before heading back to the Isla. I had a fun day in the big city.

when I saw you guys having lunch I was just heading out on the art walk as well. I only made it to 4 of them and then I suddenly got homesick as I usually do and headed back to the peaceful Isla.

It was great to see you guys as always! Art walk was very busy this week, Paul and I believe we had about 200 people come through as we were working at Luna Gallery. So glad you had fun!
