Flowers from seeds…

Towards the end of November we built a small flower garden and I planted three types of seeds.

It took a while but they started to grow. I faithfully watered them and eventually added a bit of fertalizer. The white rope you see to the right is a rope light running thru the bed.

...and now about 2 months later I have flowers from seeds. I just love watching them grow day by day.

Next year I will have to leave a space for the girls to sit in the garden without having to sit on my flowers!

The sweet peas have grown a bit but no flowers yet. They are not happy and are starting to die. I think that possibly the wind and the salt air are upsetting them.

Fish update:

Blog reader and good friend Chuck left a comment on yesterdays post.  The fish I mentioned were not tuna but

the fish are Jack Cravels, they are called Toros by the Mexicans, very dark red meat.

The huge catch has been the talk of the Isla and many pangas have been going out to replicate the feat.

MOM UPDATE:

She is doing much better having been home a week now.  More able to get in and out of chairs and moving about easier.  Apparently the bedside chairs in the hospital were too low for her to get up from. You think the staff might have noticed.  Dad says she has lost 16 pounds of excess fluid in that last week.  I really wish I could lose 16 pounds in a week 😎

Looks just like the tropical paradise it is. Leaving a space in the flower bed MIGHT help but, then again, maybe not 🙂 So glad to hear your mom is doing better. All that excess fluid makes it really hard to breathe so that loss was so important.
