How to catch a crab!

This is a typical beach day for us, one that the girls are going to miss.

Somewhere along the beach Carmeh will sniff out a buried crab and start to dig. If you look closely you can see the sand flying.

Basically Carmeh does all the work while Caeli cheers her on, the barking drives me nuts sometimes!

Then Carmeh pulls out the crab, that white thing in the middle. It happens in the blink of an eye. She gives a shake and the crab goes flying usually breaking into a few pieces.

Caeli goes in for the final kill and won't let Carmeh near the crab again.

At this point Colin grabs what he can of the crab to throw into the ocean. The girls do enjoy the waves and trying to find the pieces in the water. We are now being very very careful to not let htem eat any part of the crab. No more sick girls.

Just a typical beach day for the 5C’s!!

Do you make sure to fill in the holes they dig well so horses or folks won’t step in and break a leg?
