Garage sale day….
It was cold at 7AM Saturday as we set up and the wind off the lake was miserable. Fortunately the rain held off. Holiday Park Resort hosts several garage sales through the summer and does extensive advertising which brings in a good number of lookers as well as buyers!! Perfect opportunity for us to lighten our load of ‘stuff’!!
We wrapped up the garage sale by 1PM. What wasn’t sold was divided up with a donation to the Salvation Army and a box of free stuff placed at the community garbage bin. I took a few things back into the house which I will pack up for the new house. A few of the large items I posted online for sale, hopefully that will bring us another $ 200.00. We did net $202.20!! Not bad for a few hours of effort. It was fun meeting new people and some were fellow RVers who also travel to Mexico. Once we cleaned it all up and tidied both yards, it was time for Colin to head to work for the evening, some special shoot at Mission Hill Winery. Meanwhile I was back to packing a few boxes but I was tired, very tired. Some vino and bedtime came soon!

Woohoo!!! BY 10:30 this morning I had sold another $70.00 from the online stuff bringing the total up to $272.20.
$272.20 is a nice haul and it’s especially nice to get rid of all the stuff. We had three garage sales before we left to full time and I hated them. They are so much work and so time consuming. But I can look back and say it was worth it. Fingers crossed you sell the rest of the stuff.
Good luck. Garage sales can be fun but setting up and packing up remainders can be a lot of work too. Hope you do really well on your. I don’t think that crow is going to replace the heron. lol
Yes garage sales are a lot of work but feel,s good to get rid of stuff!! Roger need,s to very soon..
Stan is talking garage sale, but I’m talking Goodwill. Not sure I want to work that hard!
My massage therapist wears those “toe shoes.” I have 60’s feet-raised in pointy toed shoes-and I think they might hurt my toes. Guess I should go try some on. We see them a lot in this area-bozeman is second only to Missoula in number of granolas!
