Que pasa in my world !
The lake is going down fast, guess the heat is helping. Haven't seen the beaver since the flooding. We heard that his dam was blasted to allow the water to flow out of the lake. Sure hope he is going to be alright. Hopefully he will rebuild. Meanwhile we are seeing more and more of our rocky beach and the turtles and ducks are visiting.
Last week Colin took our HHR into Mr. Lube for the usual oil change and service. They mentioned to him that the car tire sidewalls were cracked badly. So off to Canadian Tire where new tires were purchased just 3 years ago along with a 5 year warranty and a protection plan. Higher end new tires were ordered, called Tiger Paws!! Yesterday Colin had the new tires installed and much to his surprise we were only charged $118.43 for the balancing of the new tires and the disposal fee for the old and a new protection plan for $27.96. No charge for the new much higher end tires! What a wonderful surprise. Thank you Canadian Tire.
Back on Stone Island, things are starting to heat up again between the local land owners, the edjidatarios de Barron and the high end golf course Estrella Del Mar Resort. You may have read here on my blog that 2 years ago the road onto the Isla was blocked because of a land dispute. Some of our RV friends got stuck on the road onto the Isla. That incident was resolved with an agreement to go to court which has happened but now they can't agree on the financial settlement. In an already shaky tourist economy this may cause more problems for us RVers. You can read the latest news story here.

Good deal on the tires. With us being fulltime, ours are worn out in three years, between towing and riving they get a lot of use.
George…..do you think towing wears the tires quicker?
Elaine…had a great evening last night….thanks.
