Hanging in by a thread!
Carmeh is a real trooper, she is doing very well and for the most part is tolerating her collar. I find it difficult to get anything done as she needs to be watched constantly as she keeps getting stuck within the limited space we have in the RV and doing stairs is a bit of a scare so we carry her up and down and on and off the sofa. It is so hard to know when she wants to drink water and taking that stupid collar off is such a pain for her and for us. We got some velcro yesterday and attached it to the collar, relief!!! Much, much easier.
We watched the sun set, then the moon rise and then had a bit of a fire before I almost fell asleep into it…..so very very tired last night.
Today's post is late as we had a quick trip to see how things were coming construction wise and then a stop at the vet to check Carmeh's eye. There seems to be a pocket of fluid developing on the surface of her eyelid and it has been getting bigger each day. Verdict…watch it…..and now we get to add an eye ointment to the daily regime. Fun, eh!

What is the name of your location? “PARADISE”???
Danshula……..you are so sweet. Thanks for reminding me.
Longdog….she is doing much better now and we leave the cone off under supervision.
Marty…..brilliant idea.
At least they have a smaller cone for doxies. Carmeh will quickly get used to all the “carries” and will wait on her loyal subjects to take care of her. lol. The velcro was a great idea; wouldn’t you think the manufacturer would think of that? Hope the secondary problem clears up quickly.
One of my Facebook friends has a dog that needed extensive surgery and long recovery. Fortunately she works from home, but even with the cone she required constant supervision. She happened to find an inflatable cone that really helped and her baby was much more comfortable. Who knew?
