Living at the vet's!!!
It certainly seems like we have been at the vet's office this week almost as much as we have been at the new home. First there was Carmeh's eye surgery last Monday, July 30th. Then we were back because of a bubble thing over the stitches last Wednesday. Yesterday involved two separate visits. I noticed yesterday morning that a loop of stitch was hanging down mid eye. The stitch had come undone.
If Dr. Susan could not retie the very very short ends of the existing stitch Carmeh would have to go under anesthetic again and be restitched from scratch. It took 4 of us to get her into the cat bag which is suppose to imobilize her but she was still struggling….poor thing. They did manage to retie the knot. Stressful for all of us.
By now we had been out and about doing house stuff for 5 hours, having left at 7AM for our first appointment in Vernon with the granite people. Back home from the vets, where Colin packed up for several hours of photography. Today is the first day this year that meets his perfect shooting requirements for bill board type view photos. So off he went. He has a huge list of to do's. Meanwhile I noticed that Carmeh was blinking and blinking and shaking her head. Now what! Was the stitch too tight? Was she in pain?
The vet wants to see Carmeh……now!! They are worried she might have a scratch or an ulcer!! Great! I have a much needed massage booked in 30 minutes. Colin is up some hill somewhere taking photos. The neighbours are gone. I pile both dogs into the car and head to the vets. I leave them both there and get to my massage. I did manage to relax and she did help me but I have a long way to go to fix my physical problem. Back to the vet office.
Carmeh's eye was just fine, they put dye in and checked it ver carefully. The office is now close till Tuesday morning and we do have an appointment to get her stitch out Tuesday afternoon so we just have to get through the next few days with no further incidents.
Colin came home about 6:30PM with a sore throat, likely my cold from last week.
I was doing dishes at 8PM last night so that I could have plates to put last nights meal on!! I saw our friends Pat & Gord walk by and here we hadn't even eaten yet. We fished eating about 9:30PM!!!
Colin is doing photography all day today, I am going to catch up on stuff here in the RV. Have a great Saturday everyone.
PS In 64 days I have a profit of $5812.60 for a total of $8888.60!! Such an easy way to make money, especially when it happens while I am sleeping:))
