Yesterday we had a fellow working on the add a room.
He was putting up drywall where the siding had been. It has to be delivered with siding on it to be legal. I wonder how many times he looked at his watch?
This is how the add a room was left on Friday. Today, yes Sunday morning, there are actually 2 guys here to supposedly finish it.
I sure hope so as the forecast is not looking good. I worry about the 70 km/h winds off the lake that are also part of the storm system and the just done drywalling.
Colin spent hours in the 36C heat yesterday cleaning up all tiny metal filings that have filled every nook & cranny in our yard. A real mess of a mess!! Our patio chairs took hours to clean on their own. They should have done their cutting in the front driveway not my patio.
About 5:30 I went out for a glass of vino and a good read but looks like I fell asleep. We did have a great diner about 8PM and I got 3/4 of the way thru a movie before I fell asleep again.
I plan to keep wielding that new whip of mine today. It's a race against the weather. Enjoy your Sunday!

You go girl. It is amazing how little work crews think of how what they are doing will affect the bill payer. We finally got rain here in San Antonio last night so we are looking a little better.
A comment about your roofing for your add-on room – We too have waterfront property and have to deal with high winds coming off the ocean at our summer place near the beach. Our neighbors had an identical type roof like yours installed over their deck two years ago. They did not enclose it as far as walls though. It has upheld well and sure is nice and cool underneath in the summertime. The first year they were worried about the weight of the snow on top but it didn’t affect it at all. They ordered it from a company in Canada and are very happy with it.
Mi amiga, you need a vacation! Five months in Mexico might just do the trick!
Good luck with getting things closed in before the high winds hit you.
Your new home is so beautiful with the view of the mountains and the lake. You have a life everyone wants but very few achieve, CONGRATULATIONS!!
If Colin EVER took a picture of me like the one you posted today, his life would be over….he could run far…he could ride wide…but he would NEVER escape my wrath!!! Bad, bad, man!! He owes you a great dinner out for that one my friend!
