Welcome to September….
…but where have April, May, June, July and August gone??
Oh yeah, now I remember, we sold our place and created a new one!!
Our friends, Jannose & Colin came back on Friday ( on their way towards Calgary ) for a quick peek to see what has changed since they left Tuesday morning. They were suitably impressed. The couple who bought our old house showed up on our new doorstep Saturday morning ( which is just across the street from them ) and made us an offer to buy the new place!! They can't believe what we have created, so different from their place and yet so perfect.
Friday brought some change, our new king size mattress was delivered. I know we are going to love the upgrade from a queen. Rick keeps working on coverings for our propane tank and water box.
Then our new sectional was delivered....to the curb!!! For $150.00 more they would have brought it into the house!!! Thankfully our trades people helped me out, as Colin was on a photo shoot. Can you make out the windsurfer on the lake, to the right of the wall sconce? Can you see the new dust spot in my camera lens above the surfer.....grrrr????
Later Friday evening we got the sectional together and Colin did the first floor wash. I went to bed at 9PM without supper, too tired to even eat!
Saturday was even more cleaning and breaking down of cardboard in the yard. It was the very first day in almost a month that it was just us in the house. No trades! Woohoo!!! We love our house. Even the girls' seem to be adjusting to the new place. You can be sure that all this space will fill up with furniture come Tuesday.
I am so lucky Colin is willing to get down on his hands and knees to do what needs to be done. Wish I could, but I do what I can!
After all this cleaning work Colin is off on an 8 hour photo shoot Saturday late afternoon & evening, while I send a bunch of emails to the trades with my 'to do lists'!! Certainly not what they will want to see on Tuesday morning after the long holiday weekend. Sunday and Monday will see more cleaning & organizing with the official movers arriving at 9AM Tuesday.

Longdog…..everything almost done but my woodworking guy never showed up today ( Monday )!! Maybe later I hope, I just want to get all hos stuff out of the house.

Very nice sunroom. Looks like things are coming along nicely. I can’t wait to see the completed masterpiece.
King size beds are heavens. Room for all kinds of thing; pets, books, bed trays, removeable center table, sleeping at any angle.
