Que Pasa?

It has been nonstop the past few days, in fact I am stopped in my tracks today resting up.  Tomorrow is moving day and I need to be able to move!!  I was impressed, the movers called this morning, a holiday, to confirm 9AM tomorrow.  He says that at the price of gas they now always confirm the day prior.

Besides last minute cleaning Colin has been sneaking off for a few hours to do some photo shoots!  Money is a good thing:))

I snapped this a few days ago when the girls were basking on the dash in the sun. They are getting more use to the new place, we have 2 of their favorite blankets there, 2 dog beds and a ton of toys all to help them get used to it.

For those who have followed Chris on his blog, Living and Boondocking in Mexico, he is back up and running.  On another note it seems that there is an overall decrease in airlines flying into Mazatlan this winter.  It is of concern to both Canadians and Americans.  Here in Canada many are calling and also asking their friends to call WestJet Airlines asking for more flights to Mexico.  Who knows it might just help.

The Mexican online newsletter Jaltemba Sol  is donating 200 pesos to  the Mexican chairty of your choice if you purchase your Mexican Travel Insurance ( car or RV ) through them before October 31.  Sounds like a win win situation to me.  This is the link to get your quote.

On another note, here is an article about how you can reduce your chances of having your email address hacked.  I think we followed everything but who knows who is out there lurking.

A few days ago at the house there was a lot of banging and confusion, Carmeh hid out under the bathroom sink. As the house is so open she will need a place to hide especially if we have thunderstorms. I am thinking of putting a dog bed in there just for her.

We have an artist living here in one of the condos here in Holiday Park.  Bonnie Heather who has an art blog has painted a 4' X 8' masterpiece of a winter scene in downtown Kelowna.  Late last night after it got dark she had a crew bring her artwork over to our new place so Colin could take photos.

Colin getting it all set up. Good thing we have a large area.

Heather and Colin and the masterpiece, which will be featured in Kelowna's Art Walk next weekend. The piece is for sale.

This painting is made up of many smaller paintings each specially created to blend together to make the whole piece. Very remarkable and creative and well done. You can read more about it on Heather's blog and if you are in Kelowna be sure to come see it at Art Walk.

…and so ended yesterday.  We had a late dinner ( 11PM ), just had to eat as we were starved.  We toyed with the idea of spending the night in the new place but ended up back at the RV.  Today will be a combination of more cleaning, laundry with new machines 🙂 and Colin doing some business and meeting with a few clients.  Can't believe that tomorrow is move day!!

You have been so busy this summer you really need to get to Mexico so you can relax. We have a nest for the girls behind Jim’s chair in the fiver. They just have to have a place to hide and get away when they’re tired or just want to feel safe.

  2. Hi Contessa, I’m glad you’re getting a day of rest. Thanks again.
