New stuff
While doing the laundry yesterday I noticed that our new Frigidaire washer/dryer are now owned by Electrolux but manufactured in Mexico! Our kitchen backsplash tiles are from Durango, Mexico.
I started a new book the other evening, a very interesting mystery. It is called 'The Lost Years' by Mary Higgins Clark so I know it will be a great read. It was published in April of this year.
It is apple season and here in the Okanagan there are oodles of varieties. I bought some Honeycrsip apples the other day and they are both sweet and a bit tart, a lovely new addition to my favorite fruits list.
We still have water skiers out on the lake today as we are setting new high temperature records for October.
Colin is off doing photography for a new client up at the ski resort, Silver Star.
New things make life interesting. If we were doing the same thing today that we did last year on this date then our minds would be stagnating. Life is to be enjoyed, to be explored and to be fully lived in to the best of our ability.

Wow, great pictures. What a view you have out those windows.
Longdog….just love the view but the girls sometimes see themselves & start to bark thinking it is another longdog:))
Susie…we are trying to enjoy but this is our busiest time of the year.
Connie…thank you, very true, a great vista from every angle.
the Ducks….yum yum. Come visit us some day.
George…too bad about your fruit crop this year.
Zoe…how nice to hear from you again….we do have the best of both worlds. Both equally perfect!!
Bonnie…perhaps you need to come and compose a new painting here!! What a priviledge for us.
Beautiful view photo and it sounds like your unwinding.. We have had such a beautiful Sept. and Oct.. Enjoy!!
What a gorgeous view! I love how you have your furniture arranged – no matter where you sit – you can enjoy those sunsets. So tranquil and peaceful – great planning!
Honeycrisps are the best. I thought I’d never get another decent apple outside New York, but here they are.
Nice to relax and unwind. Not much fall fruit here in Ontario due to the late spring frost that wiped out most crops. So whatever we can find are imported and expensive. Enjoy you fall weather.
I have to say, you have really managed to get yourself the very best of both worlds, as far as view and serenity. Some time here and then some time on Stone Island and I guess it is almost time for that, isn’t it? Your place looks so nice up there.
Wow Contessa, the view is awesome from you new windows. the perfect place to sit and relax.
