DELAYED ~ OFFICIALLY

Good thing I didn't go ahead and purchase my tickets for the opera La Boheme for Nov 13th in Mazatlan.   I will have to cancel a few pre booked massages though.

We are very officially delayed!!

There is no official departure date, just an official no go date.  At this point we hope to leave Kelowna between  Nov. 16th and Nov. 30th!!  We hope to get the travel departure date within 10 days so we can book health insurance and all those other last minute hundred things.  Meanwhile I get to sit back and relax!!

I don't think so…..I have NO winter clothes.  I don't even have closed toe shoes!!!  The next month will be very interesting.  On the positive side I will be able to have a few more weeks in the new house and see what November is like here in Kelowna.  We will leave the RV fully loaded as it is and just take a few things out as we need them.  I even have the fridge loaded.

Last night we had to scramble over to the RV to find me some heavy duty pain meds.  I had a very thorough going over by the endodontic specialist yesterday.  First I had one of those 360 degree scans that allows him to see the teeth from all directions.  Seems like a minuscule particle of tooth matter is irritating the nerves in the tooth canal so he first ( after very very carefully freezing me ) flushed the area with bleach!!!  Then he filled the canal with an antibacteria medication which is to come out on Nov. 13 unless we get an unexpected go date and then I can have it done when I come back here in April.  I vow to only have root canals done by a specialist in the future.  Expensive but worth the price of a specialist.  Those nerves were screaming big time last night but are settling down today.

A few days ago colin was photographing a house front when he noticed what he thought were deer statues in the yard next door.

He really thought they were fake, their eyes were not even blinking, they were just sitting relaxing on an autumn day.

It wasn't until the deer on the upper level, to the left of the tall pine tree moved it's head ever so slightly that he realized they were indeed very real. They simply sat there as he did his job, not at all frightened.

I know that on some blogs you can click on the photo to enlarge it but I really don't know how to make that an option in my photos.  I am open to a tutorial or if you want a larger JPG of the deer send me an email or make a comment.

I’m on my Kindle so I can do the “finger spread” and enlarge the pictures. I had to do that, but glad I did, so pretty.

Those are great pictures. Sorry things are held up but I think you are going to have to add heavy socks to those sandals to make it through until you leave. On the other hand, you should have at least one pair of closed toe shoes or sneakers even if you head south.

  6. I can increase the size of pic on my Mac book just by spreading my fingers on the touch pad, no problem.
    Nice pics.

What a roller coaster you have been on lately !!

Wishing you a speedy exit to the Mexican border, and a relaxing winter.

Like you said, at least you have a new home to enjoy a little longer !!

    Take care … TnT

Funny, the night before I left for this last Mazatlan jaunt of six weeks , we went to see La Boheme in Playas de Tijuana, performed in an actual bull ring, with a full orchestra, horses, etc. It was pretty spectacular. Glad my flight the next day was late in the afternoon, as we didn’t get home until about 12:30 a.m. even though the Playas is only about twenty minutes away.
