Earthquake, hurricane and stuff
There was 7.7 earthquake on our West Coast, near Prince Rupert about 8:09PM this past Saturday. Many locally here in Kelowna and even in Kamloops reported seeing their lights swaying from the ceiling. We felt nor noticed anything. We were just relaxing watching a program on TV. Once in Vancouver the girls started fiercely barking just prior to us feeling and experiencing the swaying of an earthquake but nothing this time.
I am more concerned about friends Larry and Marilyn who are .5 miles off the Atlantic Coast riding out Hurricane Sandy in an RV Park just north of Boston. We wish them and the rest of their group all the best. We will keep checking Larry's blog for updates.
As for us we are enduring the cold, the wind and the rain. Our lawn was in danger of flooding this morning.
…and that was just part of the weekend. We had some work done on the roof and also underneath the house, all towards making this a better and stronger structure. More tomorrow, stay tuned!!

What a coincidence – I’ve been thinking about rain chains these past two weeks. So much more interesting than downspouts, if the space allows. Very nice!
What a cool rain chain! At least it won’t get plugged by leaves.
I hope your hired photographer gave you a good deal!

love love the rain chain. Yes us Albertans are tough…lol
Looking cold there, try staying warm!
That is really neat – love it! Your yard looks nice.
