BUSY, Busy, busy……

….where do the hours go!!  This was to be yesterdays post….better later then never.

We started the day with….

........ the usual horses passing by!

…then decided we really needed to head into town ( as in Mazatlan ) to get my eye glasses repaired.  This is my first trip into Mazatlan. It was suggested by a friend who lives in Mexico City that we visit a certain chain who does have a branch in Walmart.  Well today happened to be a transition day at the eye place and they were not open for business due to remodelling.  I kinda pushed, chose a frame and gave them my eye glass RX and asked them to order it ……I have no idea if the order is a go or not???  They would not take a deposit.  It is suppose to take 7 – 12 days!!!!  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Next we wanted our own personal Mexico WiFi stick, just as a backup to what the RV park offered. The lady at Walmart could not answer all our questions and suggested we to to a larger store.  That involved taking a pulmonia ( taxi ) to Sam's Club and from there ( as they also could not help us ) to Sorianna where 90 minutes later we made the purchase.  Was it worth it?  I have no idea, have been too busy to set it up, but for 199 peoso for 1GB per month for 5 months I can't see how we could go wrong.  This is a deal available with Movistar until Januray 15, 2013.  I will blog more about this once I get it working which I have to do before Croft leaves so he can help me!!

We were gone five hours and I was exhausted so we just had a quiet evening.

A busy day that ended with a spectacular sunset!

Moving onto yesterday it was no less busy!

After a quick coffee with Croft & Norma I joined a group of ladies heading down 'the road' for trip to a new nursery.

I scored big time, 2 large decorative palm trees ( of which one is a fan palm ), a desert rose plant to replace the one that never survived this past summer and my great prize, a bird of paradise plant. All for 600 pesos or $46.00USD.

Happy hour at Norma & Crofts last evening which again went till late!

A not so spectacular sunset! We then proceeded to get our second Shaw receiver activated for our Louisana neighbors. For some reason that took several hours and many phone calls but we succeeded.

Up by 7AM toady as we are everyday.  The dogs won't let us sleep in anymore.  The weather has remained warmer and more humid than normal for this time of year but here on the Isla with the breeze off the water all is good.  I am going to try and get my Mexican internet connected today and track down some soil for my new plants among other things.  Maybe pick our laundry.

Awesome plants, what a great buy. Your sunset still looked beautiful. Here in the lower mainland it is freezing and I have my pre Christmas cold so your photos help to brighten my day.
    Cheers to you.
