Que pasa…….

….showers all night and part of today.  Refreshing except to the ladies who had a golf game booked. It was cancelled.  We enjoyed a quiet day doing a bit if this and a bit of that.

...something I do not want to read. But we really have been fortunate this year and the weather has been lovely.

Colin shot this the other day, a pretty full front row at RV1.

I was in the RV and noticed this Mexican stopping to give the local surfers a lift. Colin was down the beach and snapped a photo as they passed.

The photo looks doctored but what you see is what there was, Carmeh ( the squinty eyed one ) looks like she needs shades. Taken a few days ago.

Most of the time when you buy a hibiscus the buds are shut tight and you have no idea of what you are purchasing. I do love this one, a pinky salmon color.

This was my morning surprise today, a real beauty.

Yesterday Colin built this elaborate mouse trap.....

All indications are that we do have a mouse but as opposed to last year Colin wants to try different methods of entrapment.  We use to use poison pellets but after have a mouse and a rat die within our walls last year we just want to catch them and release them.  Sometimes when they eat the pellets they die inside and that is an event we do not want to revisit!  Never ever again.  This morning there was no mouse in Colin's new trap.

Nor was there a mouse in any of the other traps.

We have the spring type trap and the sticky trap set in various locations but this morning for the first time none of the food had been nibbled.  We appreciate Maria's suggestion of a Cat as well as Croft's suggestion of  Clyde the snake but most appreciated was Larry's idea of a new product on the market.

So we shall see tonight if Cecil returns or if he has gone the way of Carlos the iguana…….stay tuned.

Guess that mouse did not want to get “caught” by a guide book on birds! 🙂 it needs sometime that is more to his interest, like a book on cheese!

  5. Hope it doesn’t too cool for you guys.
Just enough so that you can enjoy the beach.

I suspect a mouse just might be able to jump out of that bucket. A few inches of water in the bottom would solve the problem.
