A perfect day….

Well actually a perfect few days and today promises to be the same.  I hope your Christmas was as wonderful as ours.  Each one of us celebrates in different ways but what is important is that you are happy.

We had no plans for Christmas Eve except to relax and enjoy the ocean with a glass of vino. A few friends dropped in and we had a wonderful happy hour.

The conversation was as unique and special as the sunset.

Colin and I had a wonderful meal while watching a Christmas movie.  What could be better?

Christmas morning found all of us here at RV1 sharing a fantastic brunch. We all brought something and it was top notch.

Lovely carols playing in the background, the surf pounding in the distance and again a very relaxing meal. Lots of wonderful tales told of Christmases past.

Our family had a good walk along the beach at low tide. I have to say though that there was much less activity on the beach this year.

RV2 here at Tres Amigos hosted a huge Christmas dinner for both parks but Colin and I along with a few others all chose to do our own thing.  We enjoy getting together with the group from time to time but this time of year has always been special fro us.  Listening to Christmas music, cooking special dishes we only eat at this time of year, have a special drink, and best of all enjoying our lights inside and out is what it is all about for us.  Reflecting on what we have accomplished together and what our future may be plus just being alone together in our home means a lot.

Unfortunately just at sunset I called my parents to discover my father had been in Emergency since 8AM!!!  He had 2 IV's going, was dehydrated and was having a severe reaction to some newly prescribed medication and was hallucinating plus plus.  He did get back home late last night and is very slowly starting to feel better.  I just spoke with him.   The ER DR. told him to see his regular physicians ASAP but that won't happen till January 2 or later so meanwhile he has to try and cope at home.

It took me a while to shake that off, to realize that I could do nothing from here but just keep checking in.  It was like a deja vu as my mother was having open heart surgery at this time last year.  I called my sister and we decided that perhaps we could write a book and get a movie deal on all the family drama.

...unusual Christmas sunset.

He says it's hot in here......hmmm, not me.

81F inside and 72F outside tells the story.......okay pour me another vino!

The bird is happy.

Dinner is served, fresh dorado cooked in wine and garlic, potatoes romanoff, a carotte casserole with a cheesy sauce and topped with stuffing.........totally yummy and worth each of the three pounds I gained today.

During clean up Carmeh almost got into the left overs. If you wonder where Caeli is, in bed under the covers of course.

I truly hope you each had a wonderful past few days doing what you enjoy the most.
