Lise amazes me! She just gets right out there and mingles with everyone. Her French gives her enough vocabulary to communicate with the Mexicans. I am very proud of her.
She flagged this guy down as she wanted to know what he was selling and tried to buy. I had to send Colin down to the beach with some pesos.
After taking her on a driving tour of la Isla we travelled the causeway to Pizza Benji's Restaurant. Every table was full. Good for them. We spoke to the people at the next table and found out they were Mexicans from Texas here for the holidays.
It took far less than the 90 minutes we waited for our margaritas to empty the glasses.
Everyone wanted to be in the front seat on the way home.
Home only moments then it was time to hit the beach at low tide. Most unusual critter on the beach today.
A mess of a huge jellyfish.
We all love the beach at this time of day.
Who does that bum belong to? Lise in the background and our gorgeous beach that goes forever.
Who is this dude? Talk about multi tasking! I just hope the ash doesn't get into his cerveza.
While I was preparing dinner Lise somehow got our night watchman Marcus to climb a tree for her.
Are you okay up there Marcus?
Aha....fresh coconuts.
Cheers!
Finally dinner, fresh shrimp, wild rice, broccoli and salad and much vino blanco.
Someone did the dishes, not me. I went to bed! Had to get my rest to get through all we had planned for today……which is why this post is so very very late.
