1 cat + 2 dogs = big mess
We really had hoped to ease into the New Year but twas not to be. We let Caeli out first thing to do her business and she immediately started barking hysterically ( yes dogs can bark that way ). Of course Carmeh had to check her out and whatever the crisis was. There was a cat under the front of the RV. It was stuck up under the generator. Colin crawled under but could not get the cat out. Caeli was screeching the entire time and trying to get at the cat. Suddenly the cat moved to the rear and around the engine, both the girls followed. They made every effort to crawl and and get the cat. Colin finally got the back end open and hosed the cat out and our of the yard. Meanwhile the girls came out from under and were covered in grease!!! No photos as we were panicking. The girls were sprayed with pure Simple Green and wiped with paper towels over and over. Finally we bathed them with shampoo. What a mess, what a waste of the first morning of the new year! We even missed the Polar Bear dip. I still see some grease on Caeli's nose.
It wasn't a sunny day, even a bit chilly but we had a good afternoon regardless.
Over a bottle of champagne we taught Lise how to play Mexican Train.
More wine, more snacks and a pot of chili then a call to Mom & Dad!
I think we watched a movie, well I really didn't, Carmeh was more awake than me.
After a quiet morning yesterday enjoying the sun and the company of visitors we went into Centro to give Lise a tour of the mercado.
It was late in the afternoon and fairly quiet. Lots to see but she is not a shopper! I got another dress.
We walked passed the Cathedral on the way to a late lunch. It did not open till 4PM so we did not get to show her inside.
Colin & Lise paid a visit to the Angela Peralta Theater for a tour while I kept this bench busy.
The highlight of the day.......margaritas and lunch.

It was a quiet evening at home, each doing our own thing. Lise is running out of time, only two more full days. The sun is shining, time to get out there.

What????? The girls didn’t get a reward for defending the RV from the nasty intruder???? They did their best to protect you all.
Too bad Lise didn’t get to see the inside of the cathedral, it’s so memorable. Is this her first trip to Mazatlan?

Ah, the cathedral, even though your sister did not get to go inside I hope you told her the story of the stained glass windows. So interesting
