Relaxing Monday
Back to routine and our Monday morning massages. The perfect way to start the week. Even better was the open house party at Linda & Kevin’s. The invitation read “Come for a taco and a drink” and so we did, as did close to 150 others.
Kevin & Linda started out as RVers to Isla de la Piedra and Tres Amigos RV park. They like most everyone fell in love with the Isla and decided to put down roots. A few years ago they built a home just on the other side of the embarcadero.
They have a huge yard with a view of the embarcadero and fishing boats.
The outdoor kitchen is the latest addition, very modern and huge. Their private living area is to the left of the photo and can be entirely closed off in a party situation such as this. With the bathroom facilities also being an outdoor enclosed area it is the perfect home for the Isla and entertaining.
There is an area reserved just for kids to play in. Maria brought her hoops to entertain the kids, young and old.
There is a circular staircase to the top of the kitchen roof opening up to a great view of Mazatlan in the distance.
It was a lovely way to end a relaxing day and tons of fun to meet so many locals. We met gringos we had no idea were tucked away in homes here on the Isla as well as many new Mexican locals and of course many folks we already knew.
