LESSON LEARNED

It’s not like I am totally stupid.  But I was having a big craving, a craving for chocolate.  I remembered that way back in the cupboard I had some Weight Watcher chocolate covered mints.  What I didn’t think about was that they were dark chocolate or that I should not devour the entire package.  It was a really huge craving.

So this morning I woke up with red itchy spots and what was starting to look like hives.  Any chocolate, but especially dark chocolate equals caffeine!  So the light turned on in my mind this morning.  I did it to myself.  Lesson learned.  If anything this establishes that my allergy or intolerance is to caffeine.

So between this and the wasp sting in the ear I am one hot itchy lady.

I called and found out that the allergy tests I am doing next week do not check for caffeine or cocoa allergies.  That particular test costs $699.00!!  Meanwhile I called Lifelabs here in B.C. that did my earlier allergy testing.  They may still have my blood and can do a test for cocoa for $21.00 but they do not have a caffeine test.  I will find out tomorrow.

Meanwhile a miracle happened.  The glass for the stair railings arrived.

Poor fellow, it was so hot and he thought he should be getting some help. Well not from me and that was for certain.

It all looks very very good. As an added bonus we are already awaiting a replacement for the bottom front step area. The installer decided it was not up to standard as it had a few marks on it.

Fine by me as long as I get to keep this one in the meantime.  Have you noticed a pattern here?  Our days are never quiet.

Boy I’m glad I’m not allergic to caffeine! With all my other food allergies I need at least one vice.

So glad so your recovery is coming along.
Now if you can solve the allergies, you’ll be all set for Mexico.
