Que Pasa
We are thinking Mexico. The other day I mentioned to Colin that Art Walk started today and he made a comment about the one in Mazatlan. I actually was referring to the local Art Walk here in Lake Country. It was started many years ago by an artist living here in our RV Park, Holiday Park Resort. Now it is an annual two day event drawing hundreds of visitors from the surrounding area. Art Walk in Mazatlan is the first Friday of every month and I am looking forward to doing some walking there followed by a lovely dinner in the Plazuela Machado.
We are unable to get my camera, a Canon A4000 to work. The lens just won’t open. Sadly it stopped working in Edmonton when I needed it. It was only a year old but Walmart only has a 30 day warranty on cameras. I have pulled my old one out, the one that had dust spots on the CCD. We got that one fixed last year in Mazatlan for 250 pesos. Meanwhile I ordered a new Canon A4000 from Amazzon.ca and saved about $70.00. Of course I will try and get my broken A4000 repaired in Mazatlan. Anyone coming down this winter who has a broken camera, be sure to bring it along. This repair fellow is amazing and inexpensive.
I thought I had broken a tooth while in Edmonton but at my annual check up and cleaning last Thursday I was told my teeth were perfect. Good to have that out of the way. No more rashes! I am still avoiding coffee and chocolate and will continue to do so for a long while. I also saw my Doctor and requested another urine culture to be sure my infection is gone. I also got a prescription for Cipro to fill and bring down with us, just in case. So other than my aching body and sore knee I am good to go. I know my body will recover over the next few weeks. I pushed myself way too hard in Edmonton but it needed to be done. I seem to have hurt my left knee trying to pull my suitcase while walking with a cane 😥
Friday we were both invited to a wine and cheese at a clients open house. I chose to stay home with my own wine and cheese and a good book and snuggled on the sofa in my nightie. Pure bliss!
Colin spent last weekend, while I was away, taking photos for our Tommie entries. He also rearranged all my decorating things, you know the ornaments and photos you put here and there. We now have extra stuff all over the place. Rather then put it back I might just store some of it. When we unpacked this past spring we just shoved things here and there.

Good info about Fruit Flies. We will give it a try.
Rod….let me know how many you catch 🙂
George…perfect in a smaller place.
Cheryl….Thanks for making the comment and updating my info.
The cider vinegar works awesome for fruit flies we have been using it for a few years now.
Hi Contessa
Lake Country’s Art walk actually began at Holiday Park and was hosted here for 5 years before it out grew our facilities. Jody LaFontaine (the founder of Art Walk) was also Co Founder of Holiday Park Resort along with Saul Sigal (Dan’s father).
Both Jody and Dan were at the Opening Ceremonies This past Saturday and honored for their Work in past years.

Jody is also an Artist like you said, she has an Art Gallery on Towgood Rd in Oyama.
Thanks Cheryl!
FYI… White vinegar does not work at all . Darn… tried it for 2 days… forgot to get apple cider vin. today. All the fruit is going in the microwave overnight. must be a good year for fruit flies…. I just dont remember so many.
Love Colin’s pictures he is taking for the contest.

Kelly….it has to be apple cider vinegar….doesn’t even work with wine.
