OVERLOADED

We have been asked by a few people to bring things down to Mexico for them.  For the most part we don’t mind if we have the space.  However this year we are overloaded.

~we have our massage table that is heavy and cumbersome.  It travels on the bed and then takes up space in the bedroom when we are stopped.

~we have Colin’s new inversion table that while still in the box is heavy and we have no idea where it will go.

~we are bringing a 4.40 CU.FT. compact fridge with us that weighs 77 LBS.  That will go in the car for transport.

~ we have to pick up our new 10′ X 10′ gazebo in the USA as ours blew away because of the winds from Hurricane Manuel.  It was one of four gazebos of that size, which fits our area, that I could find.  No one is making 10 X 10 this year.  It will be in a box but it is 80″ long by 20″ wide X 8″ high and weighs over 80 LBS.  Likely it will have to lay on it’s side on the floor of the RV and we will have to step over it all during the trip.

~I already have a suitcase of books and stuff for a special friend and now will be adding her juicer.

~this year I will be bringing own Healthmaster blender to make smoothies.

~ I already have 2 large garbage size bags of gently used  clothes for those in need on the Isla.

~we haven’t even thought of where we would put my 21 cases of vino blanco  😳

We are definitely overloaded.  Good thing we got new tires last year on the way home.  Other than the inversion table and the blender all these things will be staying on the Isla.  I hate to leave the massage table there but we just don’t have the space to travel with all this stuff year after year.

Already we are leaving my exercise machine behind, here in Kelowna, which we usually fit into the RV bedroom but enough is enough.  Having said that, if you need some spices or a few wee things like a camera filter,  I am happy to bring them.  Anything bigger than that, you will have to come up and find a place to pack it  🙄

Hi Contessa….don’t worry, I don’t need you to pack anything down to Mexico for me! Could you tell me the name of the man who fixes your cameras in Mazatlan and some directions on how to find him? Thanks

Michelle…I will email you the info once I get it out of the RV.

George…really loaded this year. Wish we had more time to travel but again we are not retired yet.

Butterbean….yup we are overloaded. We don’t drive over 55 and are safe. Fortunately we are a big bus and it can handle the load. We have done this most years and manage quite well. Thanks for your concern. You will just have to keep checking in to see now we do adventure wise.

      David….gracias.

  2. Wow you sure are loaded, no wonder you can’t have a leisurely drive to Mazatlan, not much room to live in until you get there. We took two months to get there when we went.
    Travel safe.

    Howdy Cinco C,

HAVE Y’ALL WEIGHED the RV and added yourselves??? Sounds like your WAY overloaded, even with a ‘Jake-brake’, Colin may have trouble STOPPING THAT LOAD, BE SAFE !!! It’s NOT just the tires carrying the load !!!! Maybe you should tow an enclosed utility trailer behind the MH with the car and all of the TRANSPORTS !!!! Yeah Right, I’m sure you’d get past the TWO BORDERS !!!!

Hope the trip is NOT AN ADVENTURE and all the way down y’all have HAPPY DAYS !!!

May the wind be at your back and the aduana light be green. Travel Safely.

  5. Contessa, have to agree with Butterbean. It is the stopping that is really important. Friends should not ask you to bring anything knowing how much extra you already carry. If you were to get into an accident, your insurance might have a real problem with paying anything due to your weight. Please be extra careful. Twenty-one cases of vino may be a real no-go this year.
