We are home….for the next five months.

We pulled in about 11:30AM Thursday.

The girls knew right away where we were.  We had no internet yesterday and today once we arrived on the Isla we discovered that we have no internet here either. Tropical Storm Sonia that passed thru here Sunday/Monday wiped out much of my beautiful garden, many plants in the park and the internet.  This post is coming to you via a very high tech Debra who has all the bells and whistles and was willing to let me publish this post.  Love you Deb!!!

I can hardly wait to share our 8 person dinner ( we were expecting 4 ) in a Pemex in Culiacan Wednesday night. I have many very special photos to share of that night.  We also were affected by 2 road closures that day due to protests.

Plus we really have seen the signs of the recent Tropical Storm Sonia all along the way this past day of travel.  Mother Nature is most powerful.  Today for the first time we had a few rain showers and it has been overcast all the day.  About 4PM today we had a few drops of wet stuff, nothing much at all.

The road into the Isla has been perfectly prepared this year, best ever.

However we were faced with the ravages of the storm. This was a baby puddle compared to the rest. In a few days this will all be dried up. Meanwhile our RV is a muddy mess but so worth the trip.

I loved this new welcome to the Isla sign. Val & John asked via the CB why it was taking so long. It took as a full hour today to do the road but depending on conditions it can be done in less time. Well worth the trip.

Loved our welcome by the latest foal.

I was humbled to see that 3 of the 5 RV’s in RV1 @ Tres Amigos RV Park here on Stone Island are here because of my blog.  I was royally welcomed home.  For those of you still coming this season, we are here to welcome you.  Paradise awaits.

I have much to share with you from the past two days.  Be patient and the stories and photos will appear.  For now it is suffice to know that we are here, safely and that Carmeh is doing much better.  We even managed a beach walk about 4PM.  Even I walked and I am doing really good.  The girls greeted a few old dog friends on the beach.  It was great to watch how happy they were to be here.  We have much to do over the next few days to set up our home.  I promise to share the past few days and the next few days with you.  Stayed tuned.

What a joy to see your pictures and know that I (and two other RV’s) will be there in just over a month. The road looks very good compared to the stories I have heard about it. I’m happy for you.

    Hi Contessa,

Glad you made it ok, you sound so happy!

Denise from Sassy’s on da Road is interested in the curtain you hang across the front of your RV, she wants to know what you used for a rod. For some reason she can’t comment on your blog.
