Front row is full

We had two more arrivals the other day,  both RVers from Ontario who also tested the new Durango Mazatlan highway.

With their arrival the front row, ocean front in RV1 is full. RV 2 is still awaiting the return of several RVers but at this time it still has one ocean front site open.

Did Barrie greet me first or...

...did he greet Caeli first? Not important but lots of hugs going around for certain.

We had a bit of drama just before they arrived. One of the new RVers was digging a deep hole for a pole for his new hammock. He was unaware that he had dug right through the water pipe until the water came gushing out. Fortunately we all had water in our tanks, good rule of thumb and help was soon on the way. The owner of Tres Amigos is great for having repairs done quickly. Within hours we were back to our great water system but it was a very messy job.

I finally started making my smoothies again. Well actually if the truth be told I only have done it the once.

It was the fresh spinach on the veggie truck that got me going.  I’ve asked him to bring it every few days.  Now if I could only find kale and beet tops on the Isla, life would be perfect.  Into this drink I added a banana, oranges, sweet strawberries, pineapple, apple, cilantro and spinach as well as protein powder and water.

It was yummy, not too sweet and not too tart. We both enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.

I won't be showing all of our meals but being as I'm on a healthy kick right now, just had to share our dinner with a great mix of quinoa and basmati rice.

Yet another spectacular painting by Mother Nature.

  1. Nice to have a few more Canadians there for a while am sure everybody will have a great time.
Dinner looks yummy, but could not get Suzie to eat like that, strickly meat and potatoes for her most of the time.

      George…..we have many/mostly Canadians here.

Kelly…try the mix, it tastes great.

Cathy…welcome to the blog….as I mentioned before the caesar recipe is easy…..we eat well but the Caesar is a bit of cheat. I use bottled dressing and usually on my half I use mostly no fat dressing plus a bit of Colin’s regular dressing to beef up the taste and of course we use parmesan on top.

I never thought about mixing rice with the quinoa…good idea…..
The healthy smoothie sounds really good.
    Ontario ! YEAH….. we’re everywhere.

What were your friends comments about the new highway and bridge? I’m dying to know. As for the juice, I feel bad, we used to be big juicers. We never had a weight problem then. I think it contributed to our health quite a bit. Maybe you are the impetus for getting us back to it. Thanks for posting that.

Chris….you have to be patient, I am too busy enjoying the good life. I will make you a smoothie when you visit.

Lynda…..Stone Island is so different than living in Mazatlan. More like a small village where you know everyone.

Ahh, you’ve arrived in paradise and making me miss Mexico. Great photos! We visited Stone Island by panga on our last pass through Mazatlan.
