More holiday photos to share!!

I forgot all about this one…mostly because it was in Colin’s camera, not mine.  RV1 had both parks over for a bonfire December 23rd and lots of carolling.  We had a great time.

Great shot Colin!

Some of us really got into the music 🙂

December 24th was cloudy and we had a few showers.  Colin and I spent the majority of the day inside cooking.  There are a few favorite recipes that we like to cook only at Christmas.  We had decided to make Christmas Eve our personal Christmas celebration.

I can't remember who took this photo of us Christmas Eve.

Another great meal with lots of leftovers.

Our RV is all cozy inside.

I think it was too comfortable. Shortly after eating I had a nap, just laying there with the lights and the Christmas music playing. Carmeh joined me as you can see.

Looks like Santa even visited and I missed it until the next day.

We always start Christmas Day with a beach walk ( and for the first time in a long while I was able to stick with our tradition ).  We spent the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying all the activity on the beach.

At one point in the morning we opened Santa's unexpected ( to me ) gifts. The best part was Carmeh having such a good time ripping the wrapping paper off. Caeli just was not interested.

The hotels in Mazatlan are near full for the holidays plus there was a cruise ship in port.

Most years RV1 and RV2 have joined together for a Christmas Day meal but this year for a variety of reasons we each organized our own dinners.  RV1 has many more people this year what with many visitors having flown in to spend some vacation time on the beach with their families already here.

This was our table. What better place to eat a special meal but on the edge of the ocean on the Isla?

Good friends......

......and gourmet food from turkey with all the trimmings to shrimp and lots of salads, veggies and extra special desserts.

A happy group indeed.

Non of us had the desire to join the cruise ship as it sailed away.

There was no way we were going to sleep, not with our second Christmas dinner in as many days so we and several friends sat out front in the warm breeze and enjoyed our fire pit.  We were too mellow to take any photos.  It certainly was a Christmas to remember.

This photo is for you Dad….

I was honoring my Mum's memory by wearing this skirt I had found in her closet, the bracelets and earrings were hers also. She was a part of my Christmas.

How kind to remember your Mom in such a loving way. Colin’s picture of the bonfire looking back toward Mazatlan and El Faro is great. Makes me long to be there sooner rather than later.

Looks like you had a merry Christmas. All the best in the New Year. Isn’t retirement grand. (Well I guess semi retirement in your case). Just so fortunate to be able to spend our winters where we enjoy them the most.

  5. What a very merry Christmas it was! Looks like the RV2 bonfire was quite an event– another beautiful night photo from Colin! Love the sunset pic of you both as well! Thanks for making Christmas day (and nightcap) lots of fun.
