Abnormal weather

We continue to have the most perfect weather which is abnormal!  Most especially since the rest of Mexico as well as Canada and the USA are suffering.  The temperature where we live in Kelowna is -13C ( 9F ), in Edmonton where my Dad lives it is -36C ( – 33F ) and in Winnipeg where Colin’s Mom lives it is -51C  ( -59F ) with the wind chill.  Here on the Isla at 7:00 AM we are 21C ( 70F ).

Our forecast continues to remain beyond fabulous.

Temperatures are not always so warm in January and February.  We have seen many extremes.

On February 3rd in 2011 it was only 6.6C ( 44 F ) and as you can see we RVers were well bundled.

That year Colin would wear a heavy sweater inside!

It was so cold that Marcus our night watchman wore 2 layers of pants. We set up a hot drink station for him and let him sit/ sleep in the back of our car to stay out of the cold.

We are currently basking in our abnormal weather.  Hopefully our temperatures will continue for the next 6 weeks before the really hot weather returns.  If this is global warming we are happy.  I’m sure that those of you North of us will disagree with me.

We too are having terrific weather in this part of the woods. Last year we were wearing woolies and this year we are in shorts. Can’t beat it. Sure glad we have the opportunity to leave the cold country.

My goodness…we read an article that said it has never gotten below 50F! Sounds like that may not be true?

  4. Croft Randle is really not going to be happy with this post. He’s still in search of decent weather. I think he’s back in Mexico next year, don’t you?

Here in Paamul, Quintana Roo, Mexico it has been the rainiest year in most peoples memory. High mosquito ratio. Just way to wet! Temp is good though.
