Adios Amigos

Sadly Alberta & Steve left early this morning. They were planning to stay a few weeks longer but their daughter needs some help and off they went on a day's notice. We will miss them and of course now that they are gone we realize how we should have got together more.

Late yesterday afternoon we headed over to Valero's for a farewell meal with Hugh. He left midday today. Sixteen days went by very quickly.

We missed the actual sunset but as we walked back to the RV park we realized how great the sky was looking.

So we took some fun shots.

Dos amigos.

Once again Mother Nature put on a wonderful farewell show.

Just being a bit further up the beach gave us some great photo ops.

Who knows if the four of us will ever be together again?

Stunning!

At least I didn't have to say adios to mi amiga Lynne.

  1. Oh my, do you think our 2-for-1 double-shot margaritas were obvious by these photos?!!! Great evening for Hugh’s send-off and glad the Isla gave him one more nice sunset to remember!

The secrets out now. Those were some spectacular sunset photos with all the red.

Hey Colleen the alcohol just helped to make us more photogenic, What is amazing, is that, that was the real color in the sky, no retouching at all.

The clouds were so incredible that night! I got some pretty good shots. Last night was the first time we saw the blue flash on this trip.

Marty, I would love to see some of your shots from up that way, they must be spectacular. How long are you in Mazatlan for this time?

  4. That is the beauty of this lifestyle, meeting so many nice people in your travels.

It was a great evening with sincere thanks and kudos to you, Colin and Contessa, for making it a wonderful visit. To those reading this, you should know that these 2 C’s made me feel supremely welcome on my arrival. They did special prior cleaning and decorated the rented motorhome where I stayed with flowers and colourful ornaments. Air fresheners and a fruitbowl as well as other numerous items added to the enjoyment. Was 16 nights long enough or too long? I was never bored, having lots of reading material. Add to that, numerous tours and trips with photo ops kept me quite busy. As a great bonus, I was able to get numerous ‘horse fixes’ while being away from my 4 legged Palomino friend at home. Usually there would be a day off, which you need because when you’re with the Jewalls, there is never a dull day!
