Jacqui, one of the young kids who are repairing their wrecked RV, decided to try some kite flying. The winds just weren't strong enough for her to get too far or too high. You can check out their blog at http://www.followthewind.net/blog.
Colin is getting help from Ishmael to hang our carpet, you can see his feet to the left of Colin.
Actually that is only 1/2 of our indoor/outdoor carpet. When we first started using it 3 years ago we joined the 2 pieces together with Gorllla tape and left it joined during storage. This year it needed more then just vacuuming, especially as there may be flea eggs in there, so Colin just cut the tape.
Both halves were strung on separate lines and the power washing began. After a few hours of cleaning and sun and air drying it looked as good as new. It's now folded and bagged awaiting our return in November.
We are going with a new strategy this year, pack for a few hours and have fun the rest of the day.
The 2 young boys were having fun on their rented ATV's until the older one got stuck. Then the rental lady who came to their rescue also got her ATV stuck. Entertaining!
More relaxation.
Later I observed this fellow. His ATV refused to pull his tank, the sand was deeper that it appeared. He would unhook, pull by hand, rehook and then unhook and try it again, over an over.
A helping hand got him on his way.
Always time for a visit with a passing local.
Posing during an afternoon walk in the botanical gardens.
Always something to do, someone to visit with or something to watch here on the Isla.

That’s a great photo of the girls. Love it!
Teri…..oops I forgot to mention that Colin took that one.
Connie….some years we have spent the last 3 or 4 days packing up steady and then we were worn out when it came time to travel. This seems to work real well.
I agree – love the photo of the gals – adorable! Good idea to work some and then relax some more. It’s always fun to go away to the other home but then kind of sad to leave. We go thru that, too, but wouldn’t have it any other way.
This is how Shelgh and I do spring clean-up in the garden, one hour, no more. Sooner than you think it’s done and not such a chore. The pups look great, checked their paws and looks completely healed.
Peter that is an excellent way to do it if you have the time. When at home we usually have a marathon few hours of working in the garden or in the house. The difference being is that here we are free but back in Canada we are committed to working for a living. We do what we so we can come here for five months.
