The end of another winter season
It is hard to believe that we have spent five winters here on the Isla. This place and the locals grow on you. For the few months that we are here, we are welcomed into the island community with open arms. The wonderful cosmopolitan city of Mazatlan is just across the channel and offers so much to stimulate the senses. We love to visit the city and partake in all the diversions it has to offer but embrace coming home to the peace of the Isla at the end of the day. Sadly we leave at 5:30AM Monday morning.
Meanwhile we spent a final busy day. We had our coach turned around with the car hooked up by 11:00AM as we were expecting Eric the RV repair guy for one final task. We needed an adjustment on our awning. We have had other RV techs look at it, but once again Eric came thru as the to to guy. I forgot to take photos. It was supposed to be a quiet day but with our beach walks and more goodbyes we ran out of free time. The girls needed a good bath before we hit the road and then those left in RV 2 came over to say adios and exchange hugs. We are ready to leave but it is still a sad time.
I’ll check in Monday evening, once we reach San Carlos with a report on our long day.

Have a safe trip home. Not too fast though as it is still not all that great back home weatherwise.
Well, since I got all misty-eyed when you sent me off with a care package full of cookies and granola bars, I guess it is only fitting that I am weepy once again! ;-(
Safe travels, my friends…(wish you were coming closer to Tucson. I will be there in another few days.)
Nice post Contessa, very heartfelt…… take care and we hope your travels go well.
