Adios Amigos
While Chris and Juan enjoyed the sun and the hot tub Colin and I worked Tuesday morning. Just as the clouds started to appear over the horizon it was time to go out and play. The guys didn’t want to do too much siteseeing but we wanted show them the Mission Hill Winery. So off we went and soon the rain started to fall. By the time we got to West Kelowna the worst of the storm was over.
In my May 9th post I mentioned that Colin had been hired to take photos of the placement of these sculptures in the gardens of the winery. The artist is Steinunn Thorarinsdottir from Iceland. In that May post I explain more about the sculptures and show more examples of her work as well as a link to her website.
We got back home and it didn’t look like it had rained a drop. Sadly it was time for the fellows to do the final packing and dumping and filling, etc. I got started on dinner. Once they arrived we enjoyed some snacks that Juan had put together and did what the four of us do best. We chatted, we exchanged stories, we discussed things happening in the world and eventually we ran out of time. Just after they arrived for dinner, the sky got dark and we were treated to a show by Mother Nature. It thundered and the sky was lit up with lightening yet other parts were clear. It was raining too hard for me to go out and take a photo and you could barely see out of the window. You could see the raindrops bouncing off the water as they were lit by the sun from another direction.
Sorry no photos of our dinner nor the rest of the evening. We were just too busy enjoying each other.
You can follow the rest of their 4 month North America adventure on their blog.

So glad that you had a great time with them, it certainly sounded like they enjoyed themselves. I guess it is our turn next with them. Looking forward to Friday when they should be pulling in here.h85m

George….now how did you know we were going back to work:(
Nancy…loved the photos on your blog. One of the Rvers was still there and apart of the experience.
Chris….what a sweet comment. Remember, mi casa es su casa.
Kelly….we had a wonderful time and best of all we will be seeing them this winter. They plan to come visit us on the Isla.
Sounds like a fun visit, but all good things come to an end. Time for you to get back to work now.
And while you were visiting over on Stone Island this was going on…

Sitting here early in the a.m. in Lethbridge looking out the window. I’m going over in my mind all the things we did with the two of you and what we talked about. It was a great time. Of course, we could of spent the summer there. You’d be ready to boot me out by then but it would be fun!!! As Dean Martin sang, “memories are made of these”.
Those are some wonderful pictures….. the group one is soooo nice…. lots of nice memories for you guys….
