22 foot waves hit Stone Island/Isla de la Piedra
I don’t think this is going to have a happy ending. Restaurants and hotels destroyed or damaged. No word yet on the RV Park.

The Mexicans are strong and resilient people, they will be back in business before they know it, even if it is only basic to begin with. Hope no lives we lost and hoping that your RV Park has survived with minimal damage.

Wow! So sad all our Isla friends are having to deal with this mess. Hopefully, everyone is safe and has shelter. Hoping they won’t get any further hurricane hits this season!
Oh, no! This just makes me sick! I hadn’t seen the news. Oh, the little Carmelitas! Well, as Ruth said, I have never seen a group of people with more tenacity and ingenuity when it comes to rebuilding bigger and better than ever! I feel so bad for those kind, gentle people, and just have to try to hold good thoughts for their well being. Thanks for the update!
Like Kevin says, it won’t be long.
Hopefully no lives were lost and things will be rebuilt before you know it.
I have had no further news. The RVers we know who are there staying in the front row facing the ocean, in a light trailer, likely had damage of some sort. It must have been beyond frightening for them. It goes without saying that they have no internet.
Personally we expect damage to our site and palapa. We can only wait for news from the Isla.
Too bad you’re not on Facebook, tons of pictures and videos have been shared, it looks like a pretty devastating situation. I tried to see if any of them could be shared outside of FB and they couldn’t.
The waves over here in Maz have been crazy, I shared a video on YouTube but it was the morning after the worst of the waves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQqNkwKTTIA&feature=youtu.be
