It’s bad…..
…I haven’t stopped since I arrived 5 days ago. Dad was told he had just over 2 months to live if he did not have the procedure. There was a huge chance that he would not survive the procedure. Even if he did it was likely that it would be of no help and then he would only have 6 – 12 months. Very very tough for me to tell him that he was dying.
I am at the hospital from 7:30M until 3:00PM and some days 6PM…..then one of my sibs then comes in to help him with dinner and get him into bed for the night. During the day I have been meeting with the various doctors and the director of Palliative Care.
I have written this 3 times and it keeps disappearing…more another day….

Oh my. I’m sorry to hear this. I’ll continue to keep you and your dad in my prayers. Such a difficult yet blessed time for you both.
Oh, Contessa, bless you – it’s so hard – keeping all of you in our prayers!!!
You are both in our prayers, just take it one day at a time, and things will evolve to what was meant to be.
Thoughts are with you and your family, Contessa!
So sorry to hear this Contessa. This is always tough to deal with and to let your Dad make the final decisions on what he wants to do if he is aware of what is going on. Hugs to you.
So very hard, please take care.

It’s such a hard spot to be in. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Make sure you take care of yourself so you can do the same for your Dad.
So sorry to hear this. Even though you were maybe expecting it. It is always hard. You sound like you are taking care of things and I am sure your dad appreciates all the help. Take care of yourself too. I am thinking of you.
It’s a tough time for you all, take care, be strong and keep in touch ..
Wishing you and your dad the very best. Times like these are tough.
Stay positive, stay strong and take care of yourself. It is a very difficult spot to be in but keep letting your dad know he is loved.
Yes, don’t neglect your own well being as you’re under enough stress as it is. Hanging out in a hospital all day would be enough to make me sick, even if I wasn’t.
Take care.
So sorry to hear this, but the good news is you are all together and can make this time really count. Put aside any pettiness with the sibs and savor each day. For all we know, a bus could hit and kill us tomorrow, and your dad would outlive us all!
I know you will make these next few months as comfortable as possible for your dad. But also remember to keep him smiling and laughing as much as he is able! I’m convinced this keeps people healthier and around longer.
So sorry to hear this Contessa. Certainly not an easy thing to have to do! Try to take a little time for yourself, like taking a walk around the hospital grounds every few hours to get some fresh air. It will help a lot to clear your head a little.

So sorry for this news… take care of yourself too… thinking of you and yours..
I’m so sorry! Take care of yourself, you don’t need to be sick on top of everything else.
Sending warm thoughts to you and your dad. Big hugs
Contessa, my friend, I have been battling no internet and car trouble, but not a single day goes by that I don’t think of you. I can’t imagine what you are going through now, but I am sending lots of positive, loving thoughts your way for strength and grace… Hope to hear from you soon.
Thinking of you and your family, hope you are taking some time for yourself,
Thinking of you.
Hey! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to get my blog to
rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not seeing very good results.
