Prayers please

It has been a very bad 6 – 7 days. I told Dad last Friday that I was done with the business end of things. Saturday he asked me to write his obituary. I gave it to him Monday AM and about 2 hours later he became worse. Tuesday AM he was worse again and now very late Tuesday things are not good.

I ask for prayers or thoughts sent to whatever higher power you believe in or entity. I and the family support his decision to leave us as it seems to be his desire ( as per a conversation with my sister Sat. PM ). He has no future so if this is what he wants that is alright with us.

I just ask that you send out thoughts to God, the Universe or what ever entity you believe in, that he is without pain and peaceful.

Someone has been with him since 7:30AM Tuesday when I arrived and will be be until I return at 6AM Wednesday. Hour by hour is how we will go. There is still a slight possibility that this is because of a reaction to a new medication and he will rebound.

How heartwarming to know that your dad can now go peacefully knowing you have taken care of everything for him. He’s tired sweety, so let him go surrounded by your love and the knowledge that you’ve truly taken care of his final wishes, and that’s the most important thing you’ve done yet. You’re such a good daughter and have done everything that he would have wanted you to do for him, and you’ve done everything just right. He will not be suffering or hurting, he’ll just be working a little harder to get to the place he is ready to go to. Encourage him to go on to the glorious place that we all want to go to at the time each and everyone of us leave this earth. Try your hardest not to send him away with loud tears of sorrow or regrets that he will hear. My mom went peacefully, as your dad will. Our tears are shed for our loss, he’ll be gaining so much more than we know, so try and accept that there will be only happiness and total peace at his final destination.
My heart hurts for you, and my prayers will continue to be with you and all of the family. You’ve done everything perfectly.

Yes, I think all of us have had you in our thoughts. Let’s hope your dad rebounds and has more time on the planet. If not and his body and mind are ready, let him go. If so, he has found his peace. Hard for us to understand but not for him. I think he knows he has lived a full life. Lucky man to have a daughter like you. Find peace my friend.
