They are gone and things are rather quiet around here.

January 2nd was a quiet day just watching all the beach activity. The red truck was doing wheelies up and down the beach and the driver was very very drunk. At one point he even drove into the water. The lifeguard who drives the red ATV on the left called the police and a crowd gathered. We have no idea what was said and if he was fined or just got away with a warning.

After Chris & Juan's siesta we headed over for a nice visit with Linda & Kevin. Back home to the RV to feed the girls and then the four of us headed down the road for a final dinner at Miguels.

Too soon, Saturday morning came and it was time for them to leave. Yes it was that cold that I was wearing pants and a sweater. 60F.

It is always sad to say goodbye but you have to in order to say hello again.

We spent most of yesterday relaxing, me reading and Colin playing his guitar.  Unfortunately we had computer issues.  The server does not like my iMac and kept shutting me out.  We did finally get that resolved with some input by Rae.  Had lots of drop in visitors Saturday afternoon so the day passed quickly.  I even did get to speak to my Dad which was a plus.

Some quality time just chilling.

Already the sun is setting so much closer to the mountain proving that the earth is rotating. Not that I doubted it, but it is always nice to measure it.

Nice moon rise.

We watched a movie while eating dinner but it wasn’t long before I fell asleep.  I guess all those Christmas movies I taped will just have to wait for another 11 months.

Leaving – or being left – is tough. Sounds like you’ll be seeing Chris and Juan again soon, however. Now for some quiet time….

  2. Not to just kick back and relax….

Hey friend! Glad you got to spend time with your friends, it’s so tough to say goodbye, though. Not sure if we’ll make it down before you head home, I have some medical bills to catch up on before we have more traveling cash. Check out my blog, I finally posted, and you’ll get the whole story. Enjoy the 60 degree temps, we’ve had -20 F days lately.

Just catching up now that we are home. I owe you an email. We had great time and we enjoyed spending time together. As the pictures always tell, you have a wonderful site and it is perfect for some great sunsets. Wish we could have stayed longer and we will next time. I feel like I need a vacation now to recover!
