A wonderful gift

s

Just 2 days ago we found these on our morning beach walk.  I have never ever seen a sea urchin with a few remaining spines on this beach before.

The next morning

The next morning we found 3 large key hole sand dollars, 9 auger shells of various sizes and the first cowry shell of the season.

Then we saw this.

Then we saw this.

Which turned to this.

Which turned to this.

...and finally this.

…and finally this.

All magnificent offerings from Mother Nature.  We are elated to be here on Isla de la Piedra.

Fantastic photos as usual…I can smell the salty air & wriggle my toes in the sand just looking at them….living inland we don’t get to the coast often….cheers

  2. Enjoying you final few days there on the Isla.

Glad to hear (and) see that you are finally able to enjoy your winter getaway. The countdown is on for us as well so we are doing our best to enjoy every day as they fly by. However, it appears that the weather back home is great so hopefully the snow will be all gone by the time we get there.

  4. It is always nice to take the time and see Mother Nature’s beauty at work.

I wish I could comment to each once of you under the comment you made but my blog has not been set up that way. If I do an individual comment to each of you they will just be one after the other rather then be seen as a response to your comment. I will have to see what I can do about that. Meanwhile…..

Leslie……I could not live without being on the water. We don’t need to be in the water but I certainly have to be looking at it, at least when we are in one place for a very long time such as here in Mexico or at home in Canada. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

George…..I am trying to make the best of each and every day.

Jannose…..you know me well enough, yes I have finally stopped the eternal lists to enjoy these last few weeks. Hope to see you in Edmonton in June when we come through.

Ruth…thanks for dropping by. The sunsets have been spectacular of late.

Good, sit bac and relax. You need a good rest. I hope you continue with your massages. Of course you should be delighted. You have the best spot in the park!

  7. Contessa says:

Thanks Chris. Monday is massage day and that was today, I am feeling mellow.

Love the sand dollars and shells – they are beauties. To answer your question as to our departure date – probably March 27 BUT could be as late as March 30. So close to you but so far away….. Enjoy your blog.

Hola Sandy, not sure if you get those shells up there. You never know, we may just meet at San Carlos, hope to be there the night of April 1st.

    Contessa, try this:

Go into your Admin page under SETTINGS

    Then go into DISCUSSION SETTINGS

Then click on “ENABLE THREADED (NESTED) COMMENTS…

I got these instructions from Nina of Wheelingit.us blog fame, and it worked for me, as we are all on WordPress. Maybe it will for you too. Hope so!

Thanks so much Suzanne. I actually have my Isla computer guru coming this afternoon so we will give it a try. I will wait for her to get here first, mostly because I don’t want to screw anything up.
