Quite the last 24 hours
After I published my post yesterday we were suddenly without warning attacked by Mother Nature. The storm warnings were gone and we had finally sat down to eat a late dinner about 9PM when the sky darkened.
In the following one minute video you can hear and see the effects of the sounds of the storm.
We were fortunate that we only received the tail end of the system. We are on an alert for yet another system tonight but at 8:30PM we still seem to be alright. Colin has been out working all day and won’t be back till very late so I do hope it doesn’t make a late appearance.
I had my veins done again today. After the initial injections of 3 times on each leg over 3 weeks you get a freebie ( I pay $50.00 dollars each time and our medical system pays the rest, about $100.00 each time ) 2 months later and that was today. The doctor thought my legs were really responding very well and was pleased with the progress. She did both sides of both legs today, ouch 😥 The only horrible thing is that I am supposed to wear my thigh high compression stockings for a week. I almost died today wearing them as I did a few errands on the way home. 94F is not the weather to have your legs all bundled up. Even inside with the A/C running I am feeling very warm indeed.
Sad to report that the Copper River Salmon are officially gone for the season and we only got 3 feeds. However Costco does have fresh wild sockeye fillets available although at the same high price that the Copper River was priced at. They are also very tasty. I picked up our second one today. Better get it soon as there is talk from the higher ups that the fishing season may be closed down soon due to the lack of snowfall this past winter and the low levels of the rivers. This heat and wind and extreme dry conditions are creating many problems in Canada and the USA. So many forest fires out there. Will this ever end?
Darn, as I am about to publish this we are being surrounded by heavy cloud and wind. Please let it pass us quickly.

You made it safely through the storm, thats a good thing. And at least had 3 feasts of the copper river salmon.
Sadly we found out today that Kamloops ( North of us ) had some flash flooding and damage. They are now in a State of Emergency. You are right George, 3 feasts is better than none.
We are also under a weather system where we have terrible thunderstorms every evening. But your dark cloud pictures are gorgeous. Have you ever tried a thunder shirt on the girls? We use it on Scooter because she goes crazy when there is a storm and it does help somewhat. Skittlez just shakes and wants to be held.
Hola Sandie, sorry to hear you are under some bad weather systems also. Yes we do have a Thunder shirt for Carmeh but lately she has been squirming to get out of it and possibly hurting her back. It has helped a bit in the past but right now she is better out of it. Caeli like your Skittlez just needs to be held.
