Love is in the air……

Sorry this was to be last evening’s post but we ended up having the neighbors over for a very very happy hour 😛   We did have a blast but post went missing.  Don’t quite remember finishing dinner….think I fell asleep.

Other neighbor’s were letting yet other neighbor’s use their site for a wedding Saturday afternoon. There were about 80 white chairs set up under tents to the left of the photo for the guests.  Lovely but very hot day.

A few days ago, Colin and I were having a discussion about the upcoming surprise when the girls became involved.

It ended up being a love fest.

Then it just turned into a bonding time with all of us.

Carmeh wanted to move over to where Colin was sitting. She loves being close to him.

So much happiness and caring.

Nap time.

Carmeh out of her stroller for a bit along with Caeli. So nice to see her sniffing things.

Yesterday morning we let Carmeh out of her stroller for a bit along with Caeli off leash.  So nice to see her sniffing things.  She got her last minute dose of Metacam this morning and seems to be doing just fine.

I received a final gift of love from my Dad today.  I went through a final pile of papers today from one of the last few boxes I had brought back with me from Edmonton when we were there last month.  I did not know about this last box that my brother had at his place in storage.  I never started this blog till late May of 2010.  Previous to that I would write travelogues with photos that I would email to my parents and friends as we traveled through Mexico.  I guess my sister must have printed them out for my parents to read and Dad kept most of them.  I have a stack of paper with my written words about our travels going back to 2004.  I am so happy to have these.  Not quite sure when ( between 2004 and 2009 ), but at some point our only computer went belly up and we lost all of our archives and so these papers are so very special to have.  Great records of our first trips into mainland Mexico and dates reminding us of various things we have done in our earlier years in Mexico.  Blogs are a great way to record what is happening in one’s life.  That is why I started this blog back in May of 2010 and when I look back at certain events I am overwhelmed by what I have written and the photos we have taken.

Thank you all for coming on this journey with me.

The love of your pups is overwhelming! I can see why you get so upset when things are not well with them. And to find a printed copy of work you had lost is the absolute best!

You are blessed. Live life and enjoy!

  3. Such special times are hard to beat, enjoy every minute of it.
As you know we started our blog in 2006 and is a great way of documenting our travels and letting family and friends keep in touch with us.

We know Carmeh won’t be here forever so we are making the best of it. I wish I had started blogging earlier but back in 2000 while first traveling in Mexico it was difficult to even find computers with internet to send the small travelogues, never mind publish a blog.

Cuddle time is the best time. There is just nothing like doxie love.

Doxie love is special. In the same box found photos I had sent my parents of when the girls were mere weeks old. Remember puppy breath, so sweet!

What a wonderful time. Have that with my dachsies too…..sometimes one or two, sometimes all three. Such a wonderful surprise your Dad saved for you too.

I was very surprised with my find from my Dad. Now I have to read it all and maybe share some tidbits with you all.
